500,000 midwives and other healthcare professionals reached worldwide

We are proud to share that we have now reached 500,000 midwives and other healthcare professionals worldwide! 

Since we launched the Safe Delivery App ten years ago, we have built up our Safe Delivery+ programme, which now reaches more than 70 low- and middle-income countries.  

What makes us even prouder is our impact. Results across 29 projects and 17 countries show that the Safe Delivery App and the accompanying programme, on average, enhance midwives’ and other healthcare professionals’:  

• knowledge by 27% 

• confidence by 23% 

• skills by 68% 

 But the need is greater – and so is our ambition. We will keep working to ensure safer births for mothers and newborns – everywhere.
