Maternity Foundation Releases 2025 Annual Report
We’re excited to share our new annual report, highlighting a milestone year for Maternity Foundation.
In 2025, we celebrated 20 years of Maternity Foundation, 10 years of the Safe Delivery App – and reached 500,000+ midwives and other healthcare professionals in 70+ low and middle-countries, contributing to millions of safer births.
Highlights from 2025:
- 92,500 new Safe Delivery App users, almost doubling last year’s number
- 4,740 midwives and other healthcare professionals trained
- 3 million safer births supported
This year, we also launched our most ambitious effort yet: the 10 Million Safer Births Initiative with UNFPA, aiming to ensure 10 million safer births across Sub‑Saharan Africa by 2030 — with Her Majesty Queen Mary of Denmark as patron and the support of Denmark and Gates Foundation.
